Here we have a nice vintage Kay tenor modified by Trad Banjo to include an archtop tone ring. The addition of this ring adds volume, punch, brighter tone, and sustain to what is commonly a less desirable banjo. This banjo looks great and sounds much better than anything available for the price, and will outperform any new banjo double the price.
We added a solid 5/16" round brass tone ring, a new head, new strings, and a new tailpiece. We also level and dressed the frets and gave it a quick cleaning. This is setup with a nice low action and a straight neck. It comes with a chipboard case. It will be packaged well and shipped fully insured.
