This is a Majestic tenor banjo built by Puntolillo in NYC/NJ in the late 1920's. This is a rosewood model the patented tone ring.
Neck - Is made of rosewood with a 5 piece center stripe, Majestic inlay on the peghead, ebony fret board with 8 pearl inlays, original frets, "scalloped" bone nut, and slight fingerboard extension.
Rim - Is maple with rosewood on the veneer and nice purfling, patented tone ring that is 1-1/4" high with 28 1/2" diameter holes, special order "heavy" crimp ring Remo bottom frosted head.
Setup - this is setup for Irish trad in GDAE tuning.
Case - will ship in chipboard case.
Notes - This Majestic banjo is in very good original condition. New planetary tuners were installed, new strings, new head, and a new bridge were added. The banjo plays and sounds great. The nickel plating is in great shape. There is some minor crazing of the finish on the neck and the finish is cloudy on the back of the resonator. The original "wire" style armrest has been installed (not photographed).
