This beautiful S.S. Stewart Wondertone was built by Gaetano Puntolillo in NY/NJ in the 1920's. This banjo was extensively restored by Vinnie Mondello. It is currently setup in CDGA tuning but can be setup in GDAE tuning at the buyer's request.
Neck - Birds eye maple with 3 piece center lamination, ebony fingerboard with decorative extension, unknown wood peghead veneer with mother of pearl inlays, new Waverly tuners.
Rim - laminated with maple veneer, center purling on the maple rim cap and large purfling on the outside of the rim, patented tone ring. The resonator is maple and attaches to the flange with 4 hex bolts.
