This is Paramount Style A built in NYC by William Lange in the 1920's.
Neck - the neck is maple with a 3-piece center stripe, the fingerboard is rosewood with mother of pearl inlays, the peghead is dyed "pearwood" with elaborate mother of pearl inlays.
Rim - the rim is maple with the standard Paramount style tone ring, the resonator is maple with wood binding, purfling, and circles
Setup - This is setup in GDAE for Irish trad playing
Case - original Paramount zipped lining case
Notes - This Style A is in excellent condition and ready to play. New Waverly tuners have been installed and the old screw holes filled. The original armrest, tailpiece, and bracket wrench are present. There is some brass showing on the armrest, but the rest of the nickel plating is excellent. There are some scratches on the resonator as to be expected with a nearly 100 year old instrument.
On Consignment - this banjo is in our inventory and was completely disassembled for cleaning, reassembled, and set up to our standards.
