This is a Weymann Orchestra Style No.1 made in Philadelphia around 1926. The Orchestra line of banjos were quality built with well designed parts. The tuners and tailpiece work great and the combination neck brace / action adjuster makes setup easier.

Neck - The neck is made of mahogany with an ebony fingerboard, mother of pearl inlays on the fingerboard and peghead veneer.

Rim - The rim is the patented "Megaphonic" style with mahogany veneer with ebony rim caps and the archtop tone ring. The resonator is the "pop off" style made of mahogany.

Setup - This is setup for Irish trad in GDAE tuning

Case - No case

Notes - This banjo has some wear mostly to the resonator. There is some brass showing on the metal parts. The frets were leveled and dressed. The resonator has some breaks that have been repaired but clearly visible. These breaks are common due to the design. There is moisture stains on the finish on the back of the resonator. The banjo will ship in a case and the resonator will ship separately to avoid breaking again.

On Consignment - this banjo is in our inventory and will get the same service as all banjos that Trad Banjo sells.
