This is a very rare Blue Bell built by Bacon & Day around 1924 which was only offered for 1 to 2 years.
Neck - 3 piece maple neck with 3 piece center stripe with two-tone finish, ebony fingerboard with pearl inlays and side binding, "pearwood" backstrap, "pearwood" peghead veneer with fancy pearl inlays, 5 star planetary tuners
Rim - 11" maple with unique half spun perforated tone ring and pop out maple internal resonator
Setup - This is setup for Irish trad in GDAE tuning
Case - Old case in rough shape
Notes - This appears to be mostly original with the exception of the new parts and the older 5 star tuners. The peghead veneer front and rear received some patches and missing pearl inlays on the peghead were cut and installed. Some of the hooks and nuts show wear. There is some missing nickel on the tension ring. The frets were leveled and dressed. The original finish received a rejuvenation through a shellac-based french polishing.
