Rim - The rim is maple with an outer brass ring and inner raised brass bar tone ring. Four thumbscrews attach the rim to the resonator. The flange sits in the resonator and is removable. The resonator is maple with the same center stripe as the neck and some other purfling.
Setup - This is setup in GDAE for Irish trad playing
Case - Vintage hard shell case included
Notes - This is a great "value" banjo. It looks, plays, and sounds great. The frets were leveled, dressed, and polished. The fingerboard was oiled. The chrome parts were cleaned. New 4:1 planetary tuners were installed. It has new strings, a new head, and a new bridge. There is some noticeable wear on the peghead and the back of the resonator.
