This Gretsch American just received a full setup by Dan Shingler of Trad Banjo. The banjo was completely disassembled, cleaned, and put back together. The frets were leveled, crowned and polished and the fingerboard was oiled. All the nickel parts were polished as well. It also received new planetary tuners in place of the original friction tuners making it much easier to tune.
Neck - 3 piece maple with a rosewood and maple center strip. The fingerboard is "pearwood" and the peghead appears to be rosewood.
Rim - 11" with a half spun-over tone ring on top of a 7/16" laminated maple rim
Setup - GDAE tuning
Case - no case included in sale
Notes - The banjo plays great with a very low action without buzzing.
