This banjo had a few changes and modifications when it arrived to me. I took it one step further and put a tone ring from an old Orpheum banjo in it to make it an archtop. It is in "players" condition. Look at the pictures and you will see wear/damage to the resonator and marks on the neck. The frets were level, crowned, and polished. New strings were added and a new tailpiece. There are mismatched tuners. Setup with low action and sounds great. I wanted to hold onto this until session resumes to see how it does there. It has great tone and volume, especially for the price. This banjo was previously owned by a member of the Philadelphia Mummer's Woodland String Band.
