This was the owner's personal banjo that is now for sale. This large pot Orpheum No 3 tenor banjo is in fantastic original condition. What makes this banjo so special is the old music store decal on the back of the peghead, perfect for an Irish player.
Neck - San Domingo mahogany with 3 piece center stripe leading to a beautiful backstrap and inlay. The front of the peghead has the intricate pearl work typical of Orpheum banjos. "Pearwood" fingerboard with fancy inlays and black boxwood binding.
Rim - Rock maple with San Domingo mahogany veneer, 11-7/8" diameter, Orpheum tone ring, blonde rim cap with purfling.
Setup - GDAE for Irish trad playing with nickel strings

Notes - Original tuners, tailpiece, and wrench included with the sale. New gold planetary tuners installed, the frets are in excellent condition, new strings, tailpiece, and bridge.
