This is a very early Paramount Style B made by William Lange.  The serial number is #147.  This banjo is being offered for sale with options, see below.  It is in excellent original condition.

The 19 fret, 22.75" scale, 5 piece neck is made of birds eye maple with a rosewood fingerboard and mother of pearl inlays.  The rim is constucted of an unknown wood with maple veneer and beautiful marquetry on the inner, outer, and bottom.  The nickel plating on the rim is in excellent condition.  The original hooks were replated.  There is a new clear Remo head installed to show the beauty of the banjo.  There are a few scratched on the back of the resonator and very minor staining from play on the neck.  The frets received a level, crown, and polish.

Because of the condition and originality of this banjo it remains with the friction tuners and strings have not been installed.  This Paramount can be setup for whatever tuning you prefer and to your specifications for strings, bridge, and action height.  Please contact me to discuss.

It does not come with the original case but I can offer it with either a vintage case or new case.  It also came to me with a worn Gibson style armrest that can be included in the sale, or a new armrest could be supplied.  Please contact me to discuss.

The price is negotiable based on setup and case options.
