This Weymann Orchestra Style 2 features the "Megaphonic" rim and pop-off resonator. This was built by Weymann in Philadelphia in the 1920's. This particular banjo has lived a well used life, see "Notes" below for condition details. The Orchestra models are great, versatile banjos for Irish trad playing. The finish looks to be original with the probability of some added finish to the resonator.

Neck - birds eye maple with 5 piece center lamination, ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl inlays and white/black/white binding, "pearwood" peghead veneer with mother of pearl inlays, multi-colored fingerboard and peghead underlays, original Weymann 4:1 recessed geared tuners

Rim - maple "Megaphonic" rim with rosewood binding and ebony rim caps, Weymann neck brace and action adjuster. The pop-off resonator is "flame" maple with rosewood bindings

Setup - GDAE

Case - no case, contact us for options

Notes - new strings will be installed, non-original armrest, non-original tailpiece cover, repaired heel break, repaired crack inside resonator, brass showing on metal parts, finish missing on back of neck from playing wear, minor back bow in neck.

On Consignment - this banjo is in our inventory and will get the same service as all banjos that Trad Banjo sells.
