Framus tenor banjo made June 1974. These are often referred to as "Wedding Cake" Framus banjo because of the embossed flange and armrest. This one has the good cast archtop tone ring and heavy tailpiece. The banjo is in excellent shape and comes with a newer banjo case. The neck is laminated with 19 frets and a 22.75" scale length. The frets were leveled, crowned, and polished. It has a Remo matte black head and standard 3 leg maple/ebony 5/8" bridge. The action is nice and low at .070" at the 12th fret and no buzzing. The action can be raised by turning a nut at the end of the dowel stick for heavy pickers. It has new D'Addario NYXL nickel strings.
