Beautifully restored Langstile Deluxe archtop tenor banjo made by William Lange in the 1920's. The neck is made of walnut with 19 frets, 22 7/8" scale length, and a nut width of 1.18". The fingerboard and peghead overlay are rosewood. New frets and tuners have been installed. The rim and resonator are also of walnut with beautiful multi-colored marquetry and purfling. This is a top tension model and requires a tool or #8 clock key to adjust. Original armrest and tailpiece, however the tailpiece is missing the original adjusting screw. There is wear to the walnut veneer present on the back of the resonator as pictured. The original case is included but missing the handle. The action is set at my standard of .080" at the 12th fret for ease of playing and buzz-free. It has D'Addario phosphor bronze strings on it and a new Remo Renaissance head. This is a lighter banjo weighing just over 7 pounds but still delivers excellent tone and volume.
