Late model Super Orpheum No 2 built by William Lange. The banjo is in great shape with only some minor fret and fingerboard wear and finish crazing/checking.
Neck - slim 5-piece walnut neck with laminated stripes. The scale length is 22-3/4" with 19 frets. The nut is 1-1/8" wide. The fingerboard is rosewood with 8 mother of pearl inlays. There is also a nicely carved heel.
Rim - the rim is made of walnut with the standard Opheum tone ring design. The is nice nickel plated flange attached. The resonator is walnut with rosewood binding and multi-colored marquetry inlaid on the back. The resonator is easily removed by hand with 2 nuts on the side.
Setup - it is tuned GDAE with trad banjo medium nickel strings. A new Clareen head was installed. The action is .080" at the 12th fret. The bridge in the pictures was for testing, it will come with our standard maple/ebony 3 leg bridge at 9/16" in height. The banjo comes with original tuners, armrest, and tailpiece. Also included is the case it arrived it, not sure if this was orginal to the banjo.
