Rare Vega Style R Whyte Laydie with extended fingerboard and 11-1/2 rim.
Neck - The neck is made of maple with ebony center stripe and ebony fingerboard. A few frets were replaced while all frets received a dressing and polish.
Rim - A rare size at 11-1/2", made of maple with a bracket band and tortoise celluloid binding. This Style R has the Whyte Laydie tone ring with 28 hooks.
Setup - This is setup in GDAE tuning for Irish trad playing with a nice low action.
Case - No case included (will ship insured)
Notes - Excellent overall condition, the original golden finish was maintained and rejuvenated with a top coat of french polished shellac. The original hooks were replated with nickel. Includes the following new items - Gotoh planetary tuners, Remo Renaissance head, bridge, tailpiece, and strings. There are a few dings and marks on the neck and some scratches in the nickel finish, also some brass showing on the edge of the tension ring.
